In
1973 Senator Lionel Murphy became Australia’s Attorney-General.
He initiated the Civil Marriage Celebrant Program.
As
Lionel Murphy said “The Essence of the Civil Celebrant
Program was to give couples freedom of choice.”
That is the right to choose, compose and/or approve the words
of their wedding ceremony.”
It is always possible to put words and symbols around any ideas
that a couple may have. There are numerous additional rituals
that can be included in your ceremony - to make it unusual and
unique, well suited to your individual needs – either religious,
traditional or unusual.
Every couple has a right to expect a celebrant to oblige them
with the ceremony they want. After all
“He who plays the piper should call the tune.”
